Camping at Lake Owyhee

When I got back from Missouri, I went camping with my friend James. We loaded up his jet boat and headed to Owyhee Lake for a little boat camping. It was similar to car camping, but in a boat instead of a car. It was a great trip. We were able to go fishing, even though we did not catch anything we had a lot of fun!

Cruisin' U.S.A.

Here are some pictures of my adventure halfway across the U.S.A. I drove out to Missouri to help my sister and brother-in-law move. It was quite a fun trip.

My New Bike

After watching about 20 stages of the Tour de France, I decided that I was going to get a bike. I have wanted one for about a year, and finally decided to take the plunga and buy one. So far, I have biked around Bear Lake (49.6 miles) and also to the top of Red Cloud. It is about 2600 vertical feet above Park City. The views were excellent. I now have 161 miles in the saddle.

Killing Thistles

We spent a lot of time this summer trying to kill thistles. We would spray them, they would die...but then there would be more thistles where we had just sprayed. We were fighting an uphill battle. They have grown quite tall as you can see in the pictures. We would spray as much as we could, then run the sprayed plants over and spray more.
